He "confirmed" it multiple times indirectly. The last time was 2 days ago when he talked about that with Zane Low. He did lots of songs when he was on shrooms in 2020 and wanted to release it, because he was very happy with that but it didn't happen for some reason

I saw that but I can't imagine his label not wanting him to release music if they thought it'd be successful. It seemed more like his deal was up and he was stuck in negotiating a new deal and that's what delayed the new album. HDD even posted a report that supported that theory and his manager spoke to that as well, I believe.

I don't know why someone would fake a jumbled tracklist/scribbles after an album releases but according to the Weeknd it's fake. I don't buy it tho.
