    How did he influence Paak

I'm just assuming with that one because Malibu have been compared a lot to TPAB when it came out and judging from the music .Paak has been making pre Malibu it was different
You Ain't Gotta Lie from TPAB sounds a lot like the stuff .Paak has been making after Venice, I can hear Kendrick influence on the way he raps
Also listen to Mansa Musa from Oxnard it reminds me A LOT of King Kunta from the rapping to it's theme to the beat
.Paak is a Kendrick fan twitter.com/AndersonPaak/status/203689428579913728

Mansa Musa from Oxnard is 100% influenced by King Kunta not even a question
Kendrick's flow on the 2nd verse of You Ain't Gotta Lie sounds a lot like .Paak's rapping since Malibu

  • Nov 22, 2019

kendricks influence will be much more obvious in the coming years i think

He's been making soulful music with rapping since 2009 bro

But yeah I see what you mean, his rapping has def become more refined and raw over the years, maybe Kendrick influenced how he utilizes his rapping voice

He always cites older artists like Stevie Wonder, D'Angelo, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Radiohead, Beatles as his main influences. Somebody should ask him about Kendrick

    This list is half “who”

His influence ain’t in the mainstream, it’s coming tho.

If anybody in this list are """who"""" to you you need to reconsider music as a hobby.

Tbh Kendrick has put a lot of thought into his music

It's not like any random rapper can just decide that he's gonna be the next Kendrick and succeed

People like IDK and JID have been trying tho

Yeah, the passion kendrick puts in his albums is unmatchable in hip hop at the moment, especially since albums aren't the preferred media anymore. He's a once in a generation artist. Hopefully next decade a new talent like kendrick blossoms

  • Nov 22, 2019

J cole literally said kod was influenced by damn (it also sounds like damn) but "how can kendrick influence someone that came before him?" also he suddenly switched production from a Kanye-esque sampled base beats to more Jazzy beats after tpab dropped with 4yeo.
