nah fam they reporting his crown took over 1,300 hours to make with over 8000 handset diamonds
this seems like some s*** kanye would do i feel like this doesnt line up with kendrick's built up persona over the past decade
He’s ballin
I'm just confused by Kendrick at this point. He has a whole song revealing his flaws and demanding that we stop looking to him as a savior, but every performance since last year he's dressed as if he is a sacrificial lamb
Or as if he is Jesus like we see here with the crown of thorns and wearing all white.
It's just a weird (and lame) look.
God speed for women’s rights, they judge you they judge Christ (x100)
That’s really the most he came up with?
gotta admit i don’t think the whole jesus thing suits him
especially when kanye did it better a decade ago
time for kendrick to drop his yeezus
He did on May 13

I’m ngl it is very confusing but idc that much.

I feel like your saying its confusing when it's really not.
that one singular bar and this poem are the apex of the art that will be created as a result of roe v. wade being overturned.
This is why its weird to bring politics into music tho because he’s onstage dressed like Jesus saying “Godspeed to womens rights” meanwhile the artist with the most guest features on his album is a guy that pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a girl in high school
and he threw a fit when spotify said they were taking X & R kelly’s music off
I love Kendrick and when it’s all said and done, Kendrick Lamar will go down as top 10 dead, or alive
But I agree with this post 110%
In the sense that why TF do ALL musicians seem to do this? Act morally higher then others but then support such monsters and collab with pieces of s***
Kanye is my f***in idol. He is my damn hero and someone who I look up to
But in a post 2016 world, all Kanye seems to do is align himself with white supremacists and sexual predators
Why you act holier than thou and decide to support such pieces of s***
I don’t f***in get it
They lose respect from me when they do such obvious things like this that can be avoided but go outta their way to do it

https://twitter.com/TheAmandaGorman/status/1540403105182846976Tweets and poems ain’t gonna get anyone to the polls to vote. No one, even big fans, know man was performing today. This will be another part of tomorrow’s news cycle and forgotten about by tuesday. It’s sad but it is what it is nowadays

Kendrick says he's not a savior > people associate saviors with Jesus > Kendrick dresses up as Jesus
I don't think it's that deep. If he took the crown off at some point during the show, that would be thematically consistent, if thuddingly obvious.
Even if I agree it’s just flat out comical to make a whole album about how he doesn’t wanna be anyone’s expected savior or some voice with insane responsibility and yet he’s here dressed like Jesus screaming about women’s rights. Whatever ironic point he’s attempting the optics regardless are simply embarrassing.
i’m still baffled with the man saying he’s not your saviour then doing a Jesus cosplay
that's the point lmao

he can't make up his mind on how he wants to present himself
