I respect the women's rights support but everything else is cringe af
Dude really on stage with fake blood on his face pretending to be jesus while he gave a platform to a convicted rapist in Kodak
You don’t happen to be a Kanye stan do you?
This is why its weird to bring politics into music tho because he’s onstage dressed like Jesus saying “Godspeed to womens rights” meanwhile the artist with the most guest features on his album is a guy that pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a girl in high school
and he threw a fit when spotify said they were taking X & R kelly’s music off
well damn

They’re saying don’t do something explicitly in your art that’s meant to be from your perspective that morally contradicts what you do and say outside the art or around it.
and saying you don’t think artists music should be pulled from DSPs because of their actions does not make him a hypocrite
If you wanna go down that road you can say goodbye to 75% of iconic rock bands, but that’ll never happen cuz they only put this type of pressure on hip hop/r&b artists and yall should be smart enough to realize what’s going on there
Talk to me when Spotify says they’re gonna take down David Bowie music lol

We don’t know if there’s a contradiction

Kendrick says he's not a savior > people associate saviors with Jesus > Kendrick dresses up as Jesus
I don't think it's that deep. If he took the crown off at some point during the show, that would be thematically consistent, if thuddingly obvious.
It took about 60 seconds for me to look up that Savior closes the show and that he's not wearing the crown at the end
So I think him relinquishing the title of Savior is part of the show. It's not inconsistent with the album's messaging at all.
I just assumed the whole Jesus get up was him taking the heat for canceled artists, dying for their sins in a sense and exposing his ignorance. Or some lame anti cancel-culture s*** like that ion know look man I'm just tired of niggas finding ways to defend and co-sign weirdos
The diamond Jesus thorns and the whole savior aesthetic would be the hardest thing since Yeezus to me if only he never said "I am not your savior". The irony doesn't work here because of the subject matter and the reality of his actions/message. That's why people aren’t f***ing with it.

This is just too complex apparently Theyre struggling to understand these simple straightforward ideas
This whole album run to the tour set design and the lv performance supporting my theory that tyler and kendrick now occupy the same spot in hip hop

Tyler's execution of his vision is historical.
