How so?

I just like the more traditional rap style better than Kendrick’s jazz infused rap approach he took on the album. TPAB is actually my least favorite Kendrick album, but I’m not one to trash it like a lot of people do. I understand it’s importance and recognize it’s a classic that will most likely go down as his opus. But with all that said I like Hip Hip Saved My Life, Superstar, Go Go Gadget Flow, Dumb It Down, Paris Tokyo, and The Coolest better than pretty much anything on TPAB. I like OutKast’s jazz infused music better tbh

Edit: Kendrick is in my top 5 all time btw. I’d probably take GKMC and DAMN over The Cool if I had to pick

TPAB is better quality but I’d rather listen to The Cool.

The Cool is a great album but TPAB is the better work of art.

Tetsuo & Youth is better than both though

Love both albums. Gold watch is one of of my favorite songs of all time. Gonna have to go with tpab though since I like the production better

Yea I just put a little edit in that post but might as well add here. Kendrick is definitely in my top 5 all time, and I’d most definitely take GKMC over any Lupe album and probably DAMN too. TPAB is a classic no doubt, but just not necessarily my preferred taste when splitting hairs on classics.

True I think when it comes down to the goat albums it’s all splitting hairs at a certain point.

I personally prefer The Cool over TPAB

Lupe, clean. TPAB has some gorgeous production and artistic expression,, but Lupe's rhymes are still f***ing flames to date.
