yeah this still seems mad sus to me, I think she might have just been talking about Rolling Thunder Revue tbh as it fits her description pretty well... dunno about the Streep thing though, so I guess they could have done two projects at the time

I think it's just kinda what A Hidden Life went through, where it took three years for Malick to edit the film.

Although the one editing is Thelma Schoonmaker and not Marty, but she edits everything he does + more, so I don't blame her for not really having the time

While plugging his new movie Silence, Martin Scorsese informed The Toronto Sun that his Frank Sinatra biopic isn't happening anymore due to disagreements with the Sinatra family. As he put it:

We can't do it! I think it is finally over. They (remaining members of the Sinatra clan) won't agree to it. Open it up again and I'm there!

You know how real you gotta be to have Frank's family say no?

it's less "happy ending" and more "we don't want an honest depiction of how s***ty a father and husband our dad was" with possibly "we don't want to ruin the image of an international icon"

This is his second Dylan doco, centred around the goat Rolling Thunder Revue from '75. It's good, but the og one - No Direction Home - is far superior imo.
