the switch has no music for anything, boring ass hud, can't switch the background, no exclusive apps s*** is just so bland. has a lot of the same reasons i didn't like the xbox 360.

Got on the gamecube a while ago and just looked through everything on my old memory card and it's wild how that alone just had so much more character. the weird creepy but somewhat nostalgic music, and sound effects with the dark void and all the memory slots had some little special art for it. just

Xbox UI has zero personality it looks like a basic Microsoft product UI

Ps5 UI is has more personality but I wouldn’t even say it has personality it just has more of a theme

Sad that Microsoft didn't carry over more of the Xbox 360's features like customizable dashboard, gamercard, avatars, music etc... Xbox one's hud and home screen remind me of the inside of a corporate office

The UI on the PS5 is decent. I find it extremely annoying that it defaults to the explore page whenever I get to the home page

That's how a lot of UX design has been going in general. Very minimal, very sterile, very corporate.

I appreciate it once in awhile but it's weird seeing something that's supposed to be fun like consoles taking that approach too.
