That's a great scene but I was talking about when they go over the desert and notice the wormsign

I find myself craving to read this book as soon as I’m off work haha. That how you know it’s real, family
Just caught up
You all finished with week 2? I’m about half way there. S*** is getting good.
they tried my nigga Paul, but he said not today, w\*\*\*\*s
Just about caught up on my day off
this book keeps leaving me smiley and happy. All this clever language and character development id forgotten he used. Just felt giddy after finishing the thopter chapter & reading “ Against his own will and all previous judgments, Kynes admitted to himself: I like this Duke”

he does such a great job of painting vivid images then giving nothing. Like we were already starting to know about its teeth & concentric rings, but when it first shows up, all he grants us is a hole in the ground
finished the first section but really not feeling it so far. just seems like a bunch of lore and conversations between characters I don't know or care about talking about a world I don't understand. I actually thought I was reading the second book for a sec. I'll give it a hundred pages more or so before throwing in the towel.

I’d say that the world building only gets better. So give it a chance. Crazy because I’m in love with this book lol
finally catching up and goddamn it feels like every sentence in the first 3 chapters throws something at you that is important to the lore and plot of the novel, anyone have any suggestions on how to take it all in without losing the flow of the book and getting all the necessary info

Not really sure bro. Maybe try to read at a slower pace so that you can soak it all in? it hasn't been too much of a knowledge dump for me IMO, and the information is given at a pretty good pace. I do find that if i'm not focused, i miss a bunch a s*** though

Thats honestly his writing style too.
He tries to immerse you in the world without giving you all the details.
So later on there can be a couple ‘ah ha’ moments
Ima try to catch up to y’all, didn’t go as planned lol
You got plenty of time. This reading schedule is niceeee. Perfect amount of reading each week IMO

I dont feel like any 2 people itt are actually reading it at the same pace.
The discussion just more centered around what happened in that weeks reading.
Feel free to add any insights you have, even if theyre not up to date.
