Can someone recomend me a book?

I'm in my mid 20s. Enjoyed fantasy books like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter before. I'm pretty easy going when it comes to reading.

    Check out American Gods

don't mean any offense by this, but I think it's a ghost town because there's no real organization. this is more like a book recommendation thread. a book club means fully coordinated reading and periodic discussion.

if you wanted to get more activity in here, I'd suggest something like a more organized reading schedule and then discussion questions each week for people to post their thoughts. of course that's assuming you want to keep it on KTT instead of having zoom/Skype discussions or something

    just my two cents

No offense taken. This bookclub actually used to be just that (we started earlier in the year). I had an actual elaborate reading order for the first few books and tried to prompt some discussion, but many people liked reading on their own terms. Scroll back to the early pages and you’ll see all of this. Ultimately, I can only do so much in regards to getting discussion going on here. It’s already tough enough getting folks to give me their recommendations, and creating the polls, and then having folks vote. I’ve worked with @S to try and find a more efficient way to notify all the participants ITT, but at this point we can only notify up to 25 users at a time through tagging them in a post. If there isn’t traffic coming in and out of the thread, and if people aren’t reading the book.... well then, yes, this place is gonna be a ghost town lol.

I hear you. can't have a book club without committed readers

    Book Club Fam,

How's reading going for this month? Since i haven't really received any recs for October's book, i wanted to put out a suggestion for a book and see who'd be down to read.

Is anybody interested in reading Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury?

It's nothing super deep, and it's one of my faves for Fall/Halloween Time. Let me know if ya'll would be interested, or if ya'll have any other Fall time recommendations. Thanks you, and I hope you all are doing well!

Something Wicked This Way Comes looks interesting

I've read it before, but i'm itching to re-read it tbh and i think people would enjoy it. It's truly the epitome of Autumn, if you're into that. But Bradbury low-key a goat in my mind so maybe i'm biased.

Oh so you cold cold out there do ya'll celebrate Halloween or anything like that out there? I know Halloween is so Americanized at this point, but it's always dope to see how other cultures celebrate it, and it feels more genuine and close to Samhain
