Suburbs and Chicago are two completely different things. There are no suburbs IN CHICAGO. Only surrounding it

Anything past the mid way point of the two loops is considered outside the city to most people. So my idea of a city might be different from Chicago. There are neighborhood where you can post Halloween decorations with neighborhoods that would be in the city of Houston. It's just not downtown. Downtown is f***ing small if you're thinking Skyscrapers.

Chicago looks way smaller than Houston, so I guess how y'all view burbs and city line might be different.

The house size has nothing to do with anything, it’s the location. My area used to be all small bungalows but developers tore them down and created Mc mansions. I’m also surrounded by 3 city buses and 3 trains. When I go out to the Main Street it looks a lot more city like. But we chose this area cuz it’s much quieter and affordable than areas like Logan square, wicker park and downtown

They’ve torn down many skyscrapers that use to exist out South. Most have been replaced with town homes. If that is the qualifier for a “suburb” then I guess?

You said my area looks like a suburb, it may cuz of the way the houses look, until you get out to the main streets.
