I’d read your script if u wanted me to. 😊 Fair warning tho, I’d probably be really critical and harsh.

Lol critical and harsh is how it’s suppose to be. That’s how my writing coach is. But for sure fam I’ll hit you when I finish up these next 2
Not yet but ima start entering in them
I'll get out my old notebook later and compile a list of some of the best ones, the guy teaching a class I took hooked me up with the ones that really mattered.

Good looking fam really appreciate it 🙏🏽
Aight @twitch @Jonboi @Mac_Wit_Da_Cheese here's the major players according to the guy who taught the class I was in.

(Second link here is for if you wanna pay for standalone coverage or notes.)
ScreenCraft Screenwriting Competitions
screencraft.org/screenwriting-contests
screencraft.org/horror
(Their horror competition is currently live, and is being judged by Mike Flanagan and Guy Busick (Scream 5) this year - if you've got a horror feature or pilot, get in on this.)
Austin Film Festival Screenplay & Teleplay Competitions
austinfilmfestival.com/submit/screenplay-and-teleplay-submissions-2
(Next one is next March, they also have a separate category to submit shorts for a cheaper price, which is cool - not many others offer this.)
BlueCat
bluecatscreenplay.com
(This one's pretty well liked, def one to hop on. They're still open for submissions for their current round, and I think a second round will open shortly after I believe. Features, TV and shorts in different categories.)
He didn't mention these two to me at the time, but I think they're a bit newer so they don't have the same kind of 'establishment' status to them - they're both good though, so don't count them out.
NYC Midnight
nycmidnight.com
(Too late to enter either of this year's comps, but the next one should be in March. This one's interesting compared to the above because you're given active challenges + deadlines, so it gives you a good idea of what it's like not working on your own stuff whenever you want.)
WeScreenplay
wescreenplay.com
(These guys do a few comps each year - I've heard good things, but never used them myself, so I can't comment on those. They also offer separate coverage packages if you just want someone to take a look at your work outside of a competition environment.)

Bout to put a game plan together for 2023

Bro appreciate any knowledge you can share 🙏🏽
I’m willing to PM my workshop booklet from my writing class but y’all gotta promise to not share with anyone and keep to yourselves
My class is in two parts. A basic boot camp training (introductory stage) and then a pro level where you get 1 on 1 coaching and they dissect pages from your screenplay once a week.
The booklet I got is from the basic training but still real helpful
I’m in a legit class too. The alumni list is impressive. One the writers from the movie Spotlight did it. Lulu Wang who did The Farewell was a student. They got a long list of successful writers
