Yep! I’ve taken a short film script writing class at a university close by me but I found it harder than i thought it’d be to just take what I learned from that and stretch it to 120 pages so I hope this helps

This one is do it at your own pace.
There are videos of lecture to watch and assignments each week but if you don’t get it done you can stay on whichever week you’re on until you finish the task

i think people are just sharing discord's/email's with up to 5 people and that makes a "peer group" so that they can review assignments when theyre due
KTTs music creatives have seen so much recent success with more and more users getting big placements
Would be awesome to see some of us break in to the TV/Film industry!
There’s so many users in this sxn I’ve seen say they’ve written, wrote, or would like to write a script. I want to use this thread for users looking for advice, inspiration, motivation, criticism.
So much of film making & writing is a collaborative process and we have a lot of knowledgeable film users on here.
I’m not suggesting you post your ideas on a public forum but those who want to join we can make this a private group through a discord or something.
Networking is key 🔑 and you’ve gotta start somewhere!

I’m writing a script called “Your Eyes Are Getting Very Sleepy”. It’s three short stories that revolve around a carnival hypnotist that deal with consent and validation.

Feel that. Writing a good script is one of the hardest things you can do in this life. I’ve never been able to do it yet.
I’ve never understood why people teach storytelling by breaking it down into structures. That just ends up making people fixate on the wrong things IMO. You shouldn’t follow a template, you should follow the metaphor. First of all, you need something you actually want to say, something you feel passionate about. And then ask yourself, what is the best metaphor to express what I want to say? What characters should I have to express what I want to say? And that will tell you what to write. Not a formula. A formula is something you look at in hindsight and say, oh it’s cool how all that worked out like that. A God should not walk in the footsteps of another God and pretend he is creating just the same. A God is motivated by vision. You wanna know what decision to make? Ask yourself if it’s serving what you want to say.

Actually I meant I’ve never finished writing any script at all lol. Furthest I’ve gone is halfway.
You guys ever given screenwriting competitions a try? I've been doing them for several years now, it's a cool way to keep yourself on your toes and experience deadlines etc.
