This implies there is no leverage landowners have over the potentially homeless ex-tenants. F*** outta here

what i want is the complete decommedofication of housing, and for everyone to be guaranteed a right to housing
If you had a job, you could pay rent

nah i have a rational thinking mind, I’m not some college kid who took 1 intro economics course and think I know exactly how the world should work like a lot of KTT
Why do you keep going on about the same old vanilla conservative tropes? Do you consult a book o conservative talking points before making posts on a Kanye West forum?

Uh what happens when gentrification happens and kicks out multiple people of color out of their homes cause the owner has to deal with the costs on the property?
Cause that is what is happening around my old college at UH

One of the reasons a lot of homeless folk can't get jobs is because they are homeless, pigs aren't out hiring homeless people. Stop trying to pin systemic failings on individuals, it's like trying to ride your bike through a bog, you certainly aren't going to get far.

I’m not even conservative lol I’m just not some late teen/early 20 year old who hasn’t been in the real world yet...
People should be able to purchase property and rent it out if they want to do so, as long as the state/government provides housing for those who can’t afford private rent. I don’t see a problem with that lol
I don’t want homelessness to exist either, but I think landlords should have right to function...

And that's where the problem lies, you don't see an inherent problem with a system that prioritises profit over the wellbeing of people and the planet at large.
Nothing advantageous to society in having folk hold onto property they have no legitimate use for.
