Are as athletic as anyone in the NBA today. The only thing that changed was training techniques and medicine which Larry would have access to if he played today

You don’t actually think players are more athletic today due to genetics do you

Players aren't more athletic because of genetics but they are more athletic because of how much the game has expanded and it's popularity.
As the game got bigger, larger pools of athletes started to go to basketball and even extended overseas. The larger pool of players led to more competition for roster spots and in turn higher quality athletes took more spots over guys who might have made it in eras prior.

Not on today's level. Name someone on Gerald Greens level.

And then name a star on Westbrook or MVP Rose level. LeBron James? Giannis? No body in the past comepare to these guys man and all paying at the same time too

Definitely wouldn't say nobody but it's more common to have freak athletes on teams today. There's a good amount of guys back then that would suprised you with how athletic they are.

Heat LBJ is literally Karl Malone. S*** like this tells me who really watches basketball and who doesn’t.

Blake Griffin has a 36 inch vertical and Shawn Kemp is sitting at a 40

You don’t know what you’re talking about bro

Karl Malone was never at heat LeBron level athleticism, he was big and could move but he wasnt at that level period. There's even a video of him saying LeBron is unstoppable because he has his size and guards speed so he knows he wasn't as quick or athletic

  • Personally I'd take Larry over magic, I remember talking to some old heads and they were telling me how the narrative back in the day was magic being gifted an insane team and Larry building that team up more. If you took bird off the Celtics and magic off the Lakers the Lakers would not the Celtics so a lot of guys back then sided with bird. That's what I heard from old heads though, it could be distorted. I do think birds team was less talented though

I was talking generally and not literally. Obviously there will always be some that would be freaks in today's game too. But in terms of a general collection of players playing at the same time, the amount of athletic players playing today far out classes those in the past

Larry was a better player but once memesters got involved they ruined his rep

lol no. Magic top 3 all time.

Not even sure Larry top 5.
Larry Bird a baller forsure but he basically played on a squad with a bunch of future Hall of Famers When he won all his titles and he wasn’t nice like that late in his career like Magic was.

Magic f***ed s*** up as a rookie and kept the energy until he retired. Mans got HIV and still kept it pushing. Icon.

They used the same methods as today to measure vert LMAOOOO.

Also No one ever said Wllt had a measured 50 inch vertical. People estimated his s*** was 46-48. Either way he was one of the greatest athletes ever. Nigga used to kill the bench press and was a track star at 7'1

Wow Wilt was f***ing with real hip hop EARLY

Magic played with some legends no doubt, but he was still taking the Lakers deep into the playoffs and Finals without Kareem and those old Laker GOATs.

All respect to those Celtic teams from the mid-80’s tho.

That means Kemp's vert is false. No way he has a higher vert. Prehistoric methods back then probably measured it inaccurately. Same with Wilt's "50 inch" vertical

So it because it doesn’t fit your agenda it’s false lmaoo??
