THTJB was mostly cool before it turn into a complete nonsense near the end. Still, love the style throughout the film

Watched even more from him now, he's a seriously great director.

I've caught THTJB, Antichrist, BTW and both vols of Nymphomanaic. So hype to watch Dogville, Dancer in The Dark, Melancholia.

The soundtracks in his movies are some of my favorites

Agreed. Need to rewatch again but from what I remember it's the movie of his with the most shock value but I'd probably rank it the lowest

Yeah i liked the cinematography but that was about it. Maybe i’m just too dumb to understand what he was going for but the story didn’t make much sense to me. I hated how they portrayed depression in comparison to Melancholia. I thought the characters were both annoying as s*** and the the story of the 3 beggars was something that didn’t do anything for me at all either

There's nothing there you haven't seen in p***. I guess it's a shock for me cause it felt too raw for a film. The film really takes you into the characters worlf. I'd compare the atmosphere of the film to the house that Jack built if you've seen that. It's a hit or miss film from the other reviews I've seen but I loved it

Well i've seen and really much enjoyed Love (2015) by Gaspar Noé and there is basically unsimulated softcore p*** all throughout so ig i'll be fine
