New albums + caught up on some 2020 releases. I really wasn’t missing anything...

• Your Hero Is Not Dead by Westerman (folk): 7/10, has the potential to grow on me because I really like his voice.
• Cataclysm by Shamir (rock): really wanted to love this because duh it’s Shamir, but it’s too much by the numbers. I was disappointed despite my bias. Anyway he’s dropping another album this summer, so better luck next time. 5/10
• RTJ4 by Run The Jewels (HipHop) their best album 7/10
• Deep Down Happy by Sports Team (rock) very samey, guitar heavy with great riffs. Sounds like these songs will come alive in a live setting 6.5/10
• Sideways To New Italy by Blackouts Coastal Fever (indie rock) liked this, could grow on me 7/10
• Diamond Skies by Applescal (electronic) sharp, polished and has some great moments but nothing gave me goosebumps and it felt safe. 6/10
• Friday Forever by Everything Is Recorded (HipHop, electronic) Individually the tracks are decent but as a whole, the album is a bit of a mess. And there isn’t any song that I loved enough to go back to it 5/10
• Now More Than Ever EP by Flatbush Zombies (HipHop) they dont miss 7.5/10

My man. woods and Elucid (the other 1/2 of Armand Hammer) have been making really interesting/ beautiful/ poignant rap albums for many years now. I’d start with Furtive Movements, but do your thing
