slyTendenciesI wonder if Kendrick was inspired by Earl in some way. Hear me out before you shoot this down lol. Remember in 2015 when Kendrick said Earl was his favorite artist? Now fast forward to 2019 and the FOC was basically Earl telling us that despite the high standards we hold him to at the end of the day hes just a nigga with his own shortcomings. That's what the phrase feet of clay actually means if u look it up. Savior in particular as well as other lines across the album sounds like Kendrick was tryna communicate that same message to some degree. It'd be cool if they actually met and spoke about this cause i even remember on the night foc dropped, top dawg or one of them other niggas at tde said they were interested in the album because of the title
Idk cause kendrick was saying the things he was saying on savior during the Damn era, not as explicit tho

I was already heated that day, n me being a producer & engineer myself that is also working on my own project amplified that anger when i came across the thread, cuz i go up to bat for producers n engineers a lot due to how the industry f***s us/them around a lot, especially engineers.
I still believe most of what i said, but i didnt mean to come across that hostile nor ignore completely your point/perspective.
N why i just left the thread altogether after i realized/felt i was "doing too much" or getting too personal.
I undestand where u were coming from especially from the perspective as a start up artist, even if i disagree overall.
