The whole album is his perspective. First half can be seen as him “tap dancing” around his problems hence the term big steppers. But like therapy the layers keep peeling back as we move through the album until we get to the root trauma at the end

This album gonna end up contender for Kendrick’s best..let’s give it time tho

The album isn't crazy replayable but I dont think it means the quality ain't there. It just means I won't be listening to songs like auntie diaries while I'm doing things like driving or going to the gym. Its more for when I'm alone at home and want to reflect on stuff
