I was actually going to say in my post that listening like this allows me to discover hidden gems Because songs I always thought were skips ends up hitting me one day. A recent example is Happy Valentines Day by Andre 3k. Always skipped it, but I let it play a few months ago and that verse at the end Can't believe I was sleeping on it

I was just listening to TLB while walking my dogs a few minutes ago I listen to it multiple times a week and I'm still picking up new things. I just caught that wordplay when he says "I can't read minds but I can read yours" on Spread when I listened to it a few nights ago Might be my favorite album of all time

Mother I Sober is in direct response to this, the theme of sexual assault isn’t directly brought up until this verse even though he does hint at sources of trauma before hand. On Mother I Sober he opens up more in depth about how sexual violence has impacted his family, and then goes further onto the themes of rappers suffering from sexual assault that he brings up on these lines

I actually think that Diaries-Morale-Sober sequencing is the shakiest on the album lol I always feel like Mr. Morale should be earlier in the tracklist. Idk where I'd put it tho...maybe put Rich Spirit on disc 2

I think that's just because of the lack of transitions between the songs. Especially with auntie diaries into morale. If there was some tapdancing there or some of the choir singing it wouldn't feel as jarring

And I wasn’t saying you specifically but there are a lot of people itt saying stuff about the tracklisting just based on kinda surface listens because I’ve probably listened to the album around 80 times now and almost every track placing makes sense to me

I think of it less as a double disc and more of an album with 2 chapters, like how Cudi old s*** used to have chapters

I feel that the cut off on Auntie Diaries is kinda abrupt but it feels like the last line ends when it does kinda like “aint that some s***?” idk how to explain it

Nah for sure I've only listened maybe 5 or 6 times, so my observations are more off sound and feeling than the thematic narrative definitely. Which I think is also important, if to a lesser extent.

There's obviously intention there but I wish he did something different, like how he bleeps the name of some people or whatever. Like it needed an effect. The "niggy" just sounds funny and like a mistake lol
