I wanted to say this in here cause this thread and fam in here we been riding together and witnessing the hate Kendrick was getting for the last two years after mr morale came out. We stayed rooting for the goat even when others switched up. Now it’s finally time we can have a little smile while he gets the culture moving again πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘πŸπŸπŸπŸπŸπŸ

That’s fact bro. That s*** was a rough 3 years especially since I love his music and niggas made it seem like he fell off.

Bro really came through and probably will have a better decade than the last one.

I can’t wait for the new music

Now that the beef is over I think Kendrick came out on top. Yes I'm biased because I'm Kenfolk but I think there are tangible reasons why Kendrick's coming out of this beef better than Drake.

This is long as F*** but I'm trying to be thorough as possible:

    • Public perception seems to be much more in Kendrick's favor. Drake's quastionable behavior with underage women is being talked about much more than Kendrick being an abuser. Although Kendrick's more serious allegations about Drake obviously haven't been proven, there's still a huge conversation happening about Drake's relationship to young women rn. Him giving Millie "advice about boys", him kissing that 17 year old AFTER asking her age, him literally keeping a trafficker on payroll, etc.
But when it comes to Kendrick being an abuser, what's there to talk about? There's literally nothing to make Drake's accusations stick. No serious conversations about incidents that really happened. It's doubly bad for Drake because he's the one who started the game of "who can put more dirt on the other" on Family Matters but now it's all eyes on him, pun intended.

    • Drake DID get one over on Kendrick with the fake daughter thing...but it happened on a track that came out AFTER Drake came up with his own gossip that he hasn't proven yet. Kendrick looks less stupid for spreading a fake daughter story when you just spread a rumor that Dave Free is the father of one of his kids, say he was the one that asked for the 2pac A.I song to be taken down, and that he's abusive, all without any evidence yourself. Now the lies they both spread just kinda even out. Pretty much ruins the point of being 10 steps ahead and planting your opponent with false intel.
The reveal isn't even getting Drake as much public praise as much as I thought it would tbh. Also doesn't help that he admitted to being a master manipulator just like Kendrick said lmao.

    • Kendrick's songs are gaining way more traction. Although imo numbers shouldn't mean s*** when it comes to music, it's still pretty damning for people who do give a s*** about them. Kendrick is beating Drake at his own game. Drake fans KNOW they would be clowning Kendrick if his disses were flopping, so to not give Kendrick props now that they're blowing up is shameless.
And saying it's just because Drake's involved doesn't explain why the songs by Drake himself aren't doing as good lmao. It's the fact that this is a high publicity beef COMBINED with the fact that Kendrick's songs are really good in particular. But Drake stans will always think of Kendrick as some Logic and Joyner Lucas rapper so they'll never admit Kendrick's talents as a song writer have anything to do with it lmao.

    • This one's more subjective but, bar-wise, euphoria is still the best track in the beef so far. If Drake wanted to prove he was bar for bar better than Kendrick he failed to do so imo. Drake held his own fs, "Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a grammy right now" is great. I think we're all above the "Drake can't rap" narrative that's plagued him since early in his career...but Kendrick still outdid him lyrically tbh. I don't know how else to say it without being accused of underestimating Drake as a lyricist. But Dot's had absolutely insane quotables throughout this whole beef. And he would have continued to have stronger bars than Drake so if the beef didn't take a TMZ turn with Family Matters.

    • Kendrick has just been better song wise. Like That, euphoria, and Not Like Us are all bangers with a lot of reppay value. Meet the Grahams is an evil f***ing song and will probably be remembered more for how it addressed Drake's whole family and its tone than the fake daughter stuff. Drake started off strong with Push Ups but then decided to drop memes like that A.I slop and the Buried Alive Parody (although Buried Alive was actually funny for a couple listens, I'll give him that). Family Matters was decent but doesn't match the energy Kendrick has been bringing to this beef, even if we ignore it getting stepped on.
The Heart Part 6 is ass. It was clever that Drake stole a song title from Kendrick's series but the song itself isn't very good as a diss track or just as entertainment. Drake's just playing defense the whole time. The best defense would have been playing offense. Prove Kenny's an abuser, that would discredit Kendrick calling him a pedophule, and also probably be the end Dot's career. Would have gone down as one of the most iconic diss songs in history but instead we got "I'm too famous to be a predator!" -- complete miss and Drake stans are only hyping it up because Kendrick probably won't bother responding.

    • Again this is subjective but Kendrick dropped the catchiest track with Not Like Us. This is a big deal because Drake likely had it in the bag with Push Ups. He made a catchy hook making fun of Kendrick's album title. But then Kendrick comes along and drops "certified lover boy, certified pedophile", completely overshadowing what Drake did with Push Ups.

    • Drake practically had to admit Not Like Us is fire. That's a W no matter how you spin it. You can tell Drake and his fans were gonna try the "I can make a hit while dissing you" angle, not expecting Dot to do the same. Kendrick fans and haters did NOT expect him to do so well.

    • Kendrick was more disrespectful. Straight up. For some people this is the most important aspect of beef. Drake tried to be the more disrespectful one first by mentioning Whitney but then Kendrick turned it around with "you don't know nothin bout thaaaaaaat", and WARNED him to keep it friendly. Then Drake doubled down on Family Matters, which was pretty disrespectful, but Kendrick again outdoes him with "Dear Adonis, I'm sorry that man is your father" and "I think niggas like him should die" just MINUTES after. Drake had no choice but to go on the defense. This beef showed another side of Kendrick that just adds to the overall legacy of his career.

    • Drake's angles have been completely bizarre this whole beef. For example Kendrick compared himself to Prince and Drake to Michael Jackson. Drake did a good reversal on this on Push Ups, "what's a prince to a king". But for some reason on Family Matters he decided to diss MJ by saying he wanted to be white (untrue), ruining a angle he could have played to his advantage. He also decided to use A.I for Pac, without his estate's permission, and got the whole song taken down. Bringing A.I into this was already bad enough but now he just looks like he was disrespecting Pac, which Kendrick used to his advantage on Not Like Us. Then there's "NIGGA I said it, I know that you're mad". Drake bro you did not have to prove you could say that lmao. Him starting Family Matters that way actually just makes Kendrick's point about it being cringe look stronger. If he didn't draw attention to it nobody would care. These are minor points that most people won't care about but imo a lot of what Drake's been doing post Push Ups has been a complete miss.

    • The Van thing completely fell flat. You can tell he was trying to create an iconic moment that would end the beef but it didn't at all. It's actually really embarrassing in hindsight.

    • Drake sounds bored and not interested in continuing the beef anymore. I don't know why you would approach a song in such a way during a beef you were begging to escalate, especially in a song that was supposed to be your ace in the hole. Bro audibly sounds like he's throwing in the towel without actually saying he is. Coupled with the fact that he says "I'm going on vacation now hope next time y'all plan it right" and "you're dead, you're dead, you're dead" on Family Matters I think he was really expecting to kill Kendrick with that song. But now he was pretty much forced to make Heart 6 and you can tell by how bad it is despite being Drake's second finale. This is probably the main reason why people are still saying Kendrick is winning. This track didn't turn the tides like it was probably supposed to.

    • Then there's that Kendrick was able to change the whole narrative of this beef. By being such strong opposition for Drake, he pretty much ended narrative that this is just about "Drake's holding his own against 20 people". Drake definitely held his own against Rocky, Weeknd, Future, Ross, and Metro, but he has been completely backed into a corner by Kendrick at several points during this beef. "Kendrick vs Drake" will be far more remembered by the general public than "Drake vs the industry" because Kendrick is the one that really put pressure on him. It's like Pac and Biggie. Pac dissed several other artists too but his beef with Biggie is what's remembered the most. The only difference here is that Kendrick did way better than anyone could have anticipated.

Kendrick came on on top from so many angles I can't help but say he won. But i'm sure a certain fanbase will say we're just "coping" even though they were crashing out 24 hours ago (which should say something because Kendrick fans were never that pressed throughout this whole thing lmao). If any Drake stans lurking would like to argue these points I'll be glad to hear them but I have Kendrick winning this by a lot, although not unscathed.
