Before we get our hopes up remember he performed day n night without dropping
I think this will be the same.

Except he specified during Day N Vegas that he wasn’t playing new music. How is this even remotely the same when two of the three festivals say new music will be played?

Glastonbury and Rolling Loud without new music is not possible. It could happen only if you are Paul McCarthy

Fair enough, 4:44 was the album on that list most in contention for me.

objectively speaking, this is true. Not a single one and it's not close to being close. Some might like one of them more based on subjective tastes, but thats it. Quality wise, musically, technically, not a single one of them is as good.

coming up with nas, jay, biggie, pac, big l, az n all of them in there primes is a completely different world than drake, rocky, mac miller big sean n all that. Ppl respecting him today has really nothing to do with how he would perform against them

It's not a completely different world. He is from the west coast. Snoop existed in that era and did just fine, so did dre and Cube and a slew of other non NY artist. Mase existed in the era as well.

You're also forgetting that you are a product of the time you grew up. Kendrick would've been just as good or better than he is at rapping because his IQ would be been raised.

And Kendricks competition isn't just those guys you mentioned. He is literally still competing with Jay Z, Nas, Lupe, Griselda, Freddie Gibbs, Ransom, Black Thought

When you are around ppl that are of high level and you work just as hard your level increases.

That's why today there are better shooting big men in the NBA because the level of shooting is higher.

The same with anything. When Tony hawk did the 900. The level of skating that day was so high it motivated him to do the 900

Kendricks style would've been more appreciated in the 90s and it would also be alot different

Competing against those rappers in their prime would've made him better.

That's why When you listen to older 80s rap you have to judge my that era because they were less skilled lyrically but were a product of their era so they are still regarded as great.

This entire premise is fictional and disingenuous wtf lol.

You’re trying to put a 7 year old Kendrick into an era in which he doesn’t belong to prove he would be perceived different. (No way to prove that)

You’re the one that’s playing this fictional game. I’m being more realistic and using real world examples of what actually happens to extrapolate what would happen with Kendrick.

If you don’t want to pretend about what he would be in a different era then don’t bring up being in an different era

You mention fictional but then talk about him being seen differently in the 90s, an opinion based on a hypothetical, which in essence is based in fiction
