Visually it's much much better than the first, but that's all about it. The gameplay is pretty much the same.
Imo you should buy it only on sale.

people who rly think the gameplay isn't much improved here really shouldn't be allowed to speak on this game. Like that is just straight delusion. The stealth here is the best we have ever seen in any game (minus having the ability to drag dead bodies), but the AI detection, hiding, unpredictability of encounters, etc. is so far advanced compared to the first game's stealth and it even surpasses the staples of the stealth genre like MGS and Splinter Cell.
And that is not even mentioning the clear improvements in weaponry, customization, the balance and versatility of the different aspects of the game such as platforming, vehicle combat, the horror aspects, etc.

krishna boundi'm not as much into gaming as i was when i was younger, but whenever a game gets bombed into oblivion, there's a reason for it. games which leave a lasting impression and relevancy are never the ones who get review bombed - the first mass effect, something like zelda or mario, etc.
I never really understood the hype for TLoU in the first place, but the game being review bombed doesn't necessarily mean it's bad per-se; I'm sure the game is a run of the mill AAA cinematic whatever. while you can just chalk it up to whatever buzzword angry mob online, realistically, the division between review scores and user scores is more representative of the game not resonating with audiences. i'm aware there are people who will leave a 0 review for a game containing gay people, but it's clearly more than that; dragon age, mass effect, fallout, etc. all have gay people and they aren't review bombed the same way. imo it's a kneejerk reaction to the overwhelming "praise" from journalists. someone called it the schindler's list of video games which is tone deaf and insulting. even polygon - which is very vehemently not associated with those anti-progressive type review bombes - basically said it was mediocre. so while i'm sure it's not a terrible game or anything, just keep in mind the dissonance between the context of it as a "masterpiece" by journalists and the actual game is probably going to make it seem far worse than it actually isWhat a terrible set of games you used as an example. All of those games make it up to the player if their character is gay.
That is not the same as a story bring focused on a gay main character which you have no say in.

Exactly, I watched reviews where they say the gameplay is barely improved and I’m just in shock of the lies they is spewing on the platform. The gameplay is almost perfected
Jun 22, 2020If you can get past the review bombs, I would say the reviews are mixed. The story is polarizing with a lot of people saying they probably wouldn't come back to it unless there's a DLC that cleans up the story.

MGS 5 was a slog to get thru for me. I far enjoy TLOU 1 and 2 to it

TLOU's gameplay is the same way lol. But at least in MGSV, you've got hundreds of ways to complete each mission. It's like a sandbox.

TLOU combines many different things so you arent just constantly killing people stealthily
Theres puzzles, platforming, horror aspects, chase sequences, vehicular combat, and an actual great story to follow
