As I said earlier. If you raised your kid right in the first place 9/10 they aren’t going to do anything warranting a beating

And if it does “warrant a beating” there are other ways to discipline your child

Do you have a kid? If not shut the f*** up because you know nothing about how hard it is to raise a child perfectly to the point that they will never do something that warrants getting spanked or something like that. Children are going to lash out, be rebellious at some point in their lives it is literally just the way it is. And some of their decisions definitely need more discipline than some mild punishment

Oh so you bear your kid and are trying to justify it for the thread

I cant grasp my head around how much beating people ITT are talking about,

i never got fully beat up, i dont think anyone agrees with that.

but the slipper came out regular for my backside,
my grandma at 75 years old used to pull out the leather belt

If y’all don’t have kids/helped raised a child you literally cannot speak on how to discipline them.

Nobody here said they loved getting beat

They clearly did though, it built character and taught them to be the beautiful, healthy people they are today. Or is getting beat a kid a righteous struggle that’s still somehow morally defensible to perpetrate?

  • Aug 14, 2020

Beating your kids doesn’t make you a “bad parent” but you still shouldn’t do it

There are literal scientific studies behind this

What kind of stupid ass s*** is this lmao. I was a bad ass kid through no fault of my parents. I just liked to fight and do bad s***. Making such a dumbass statement as "If you raise your kids right they aren't gonna do bad things" is only something a f***ing 16 year old with no kids of their own would think to say.

I have a son? I’ve helped raise both of my nieces since they were babies as well

Good post but it actually means both, really depends on the context. For example in Exodus and Numbers, it is a physical rod, but in Psalms it's metaphorical for guidance

But in Proverbs the direct translation is reed-like rod (and this was kept in the AMP and KJV but made vague after) so it's closer to the rod of Levi, than a shepherd's rod. Contextually, parents would use a fruit tree branch to spank their kid on the ass and there's historical data on that

But it's open to interpretation nonetheless

    I said 9/10

You’re clearly the 1/10 of kids who always did bad things
