i'm 22, but i started learning when i was 16 but never actually got my license. i'll go through phases where i'll drive a lot for a bit but then i get mad anxious/paranoid about being on the road and I stop for a while. I'll get it one day hopefully
lol
I passed on my first try after 2.5 months and roughly 20 lessons
damn took me 3 tries
i know how to drive and ive been driving a few times a month for like 4-5 years... im just too lazy to take the test
I started driving in a graveyard as practice when I was 17 and didn't drive again until I was 19. Got my license at 20, but I barely drive. Especially not by myself. I'm 23 now.
My driving test was simple asf
I rode through a neighborhood and parallel parked. Passed it on my first try.
Think of all the complete idiots that have their license. Driving is super easy. Nothin to fret over
i’m learning to drive at the age of 23. Wishing I did this years ago but I just never have
I practiced with my dad for an hour or two in a parking lot, didn’t even make it out on the road. Had my first lesson this morning and dude just made me go out on the road we started in the residential area near my house and then we moved out into main roads
Honestly, it’s a lot easier and less scary than I anticipated. Handling the car itself is nowhere near as difficult as it looks, thing just kinda does the work for you. It’s mostly road rules/ handling others in traffic that I need to practice with
Anyone else learn to drive at a late age or can give any advice? Hoping to have my license before my 24th bday in may, I think that’s a reasonable window of time
UPDATE : I PASSED
It’s never too late but it’s gonna take a year at least to do it right
never believe anyone’s turn signals! be safe and wait for them to start turning before you make your move
damn I lowkey felt like a clown cause im 22 without my license but I see niggas here like me
29 n ain’t got my license but I live in a major city I don’t have a whip so I don’t really care but I need to go n get my license just to have it so when I eventually do get a whip my insurance monthly won’t be through the roof.
Yeah I was clowned by friends and family for years for not driving, I always had some anxiety about it and by avoiding it had built it up into something that seemed a lot bigger than it actually was. End of the day I finally said f*** it and got behind the wheel, practiced for a couple months and got my license.
Glad to hear your first couple lessons went well! Just keep practicing, the more you drive the more confident you’ll become and the less you’ll have to think about it
DO NOT DRIVE THE SPEED LIMT.
DRIVE THE SPEED OF THE TRAFFIC.
this is one you really learn driving alone I'm wondering why there's always a huge gap in between me and the dude in front of me and everyone behind me is riding my ass

actually have my license now and just bought a car yesterday. it's definitely still anxiety-inducing for me but nowhere near as bad as it was at first. with that being said, it's also a lot easier than I expected and I wish I did it a long time ago

lmao forreal when I started driving I'd always follow the speed limit till I realized everybody was passing me and tailgating me going +20 the limit, I was like uh okay this how we rocking in the real world eh
