Rina is about 15 years behind Utada at this rate, so the odds are dangerously against her. Also, by the time Utada was Rina’s age she had 4 number one albums and nearly 20 million records sold worldwide.

1 - Age 100% still matters, the industry and consumers still flock to younger artists, especially newer ones than they do for late bloomers.
2- You don’t have to sell 90’s records to sell well dude. Rina’s last album didn’t go Gold in the UK.

She will be bigger just watch but my comparison was based of versatility and quality of music.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Rina is crazy talented. But I think a lot of artists are talented. It doesn’t mean I think they’ll ever reached the heights or gain the accolades of the greats. And Utada is one of the all time greats, across time and countries. So the comparison is actually a disservice to her legacy.

For example, I’m not going to compare Pinegrove to the Beatles because I know the former will never have the impact, sales, and influence of the latter. So it’s a foolish comparison (and not helpful for people in this thread who don’t know who Utada is).
