It’s not Deep River, that’s for sure.

I dunno but both her and I think it’s icky to lump her in with the AKB48’s of the world.

deep river got some of her most iconic singles (sakura drops, traveling, final distance, and hikari/sanctuary) and like i said earlier is where she started to gain her own identity musically. i like fantome but personally i don't think theres a song on there as emotional, or strong vocally as final distance or letters.

not to mention its not even brought up like that when discussing hikaru's music lol

Ore no Kanojo, Manatsu no Tooriame, Boukyaku and Sakura Nagasaki all better then those two songs.

I can at least respect you from one Utada fan to another even if you got the order of her best albums wrong.

So i am weighing in for the Hikaru talk. First Op is super delusional.
Second Rina will never even get near her level in her lifetime.
Rina needs at least 1 Japanese only album to even start being a japanese Artist.

To me for a long time Fantôme was my favorite album of hers but Hatsukoi just worked so well for me it felt like her Magnum Opus imo. Also watching the documentary for that Album cemented that for me. It was really an important album for her.

From her older Albums the best imo was Distance. I also have that one on my Vinyl shelf at the Top rn. She was super in her RnB bag. I wish she would get back there more. Also she needs to more dance remixes like back in the day

I dont really like the latest album of hers unfortunately and i hope she doesn't go that direction. The album really felt like it had no direction and a bit lost...I loved some singles but it really didn't click with me. Also reusing old songs... damn

Utada Hikaru the goat pop artist to me. I like Rina off the few songs i've heard from her but she nowhere near that level
