Lets gather the evidence and we can discuss it and a***yze it fully.
Let’s start with the obvious, the use of the word “trill”.

In case you didn’t know, Trill is Houston slang for “too real”, Now Rocky is from New York. They have their own slang so why would he bite someone else if he has his own thing?

Now Big KRIT, a former collaborator of A$AP Rocky, has responded to the controversy taking down Rocky

How do you accurately portray Houston culture if you have never lived there?

I think the problem emerges when you change qualities unique to you to fit a culture your not a part of

Take Lil Yachty for example. He started fw Detroit out of nowhere but not many ppl call him a culture vulture because he doesn't try to be like them niggas. He still dresses the same, talks the same, and acts the same he just uses their beats and raps a lil differently. Hell with Drake the biggest grievance with his biting didn't even have to do with the music but the accents he would put on like he lived in the UK his whole life.

Showing love is cool but when you start using slang that no one in your community uses and start dressing like you grew up somewhere else, that's the definition of cultural appropriation.

I think a better question is whether cultural appropriation is justifiable in some cases or not. In this case I don't really think Rocky did anything malicious
