👁👄👁
What do you guys consider a personality? There’s so many different types of personalities. I definitely understood about lil baby npc street rapper
default NPC street rapper is accurate as hell lol that’s why I never fully understood the hype for him
DaBaby got hella personality lol. Y’all think being weird = personality
I agree, DaBaby one of the last few with a big persona that’s why I mentioned him at the end of the post
Roddy rich probably the most boring street rapper I watched in a min
Oh myyy for sure another example
Bro is boring as sin
idk in my opinion Yeat has a personality based off his IG stories, he seems funny asl. He seems like a regular person that just happens to be a rapper, which is refreshing. And if you think about it, he's created this grand world that is full of high fashion (he's going to actual runways and fashion shows in Paris), and has created his own lingo (twizzy, tonka). + the whole Turban thing is neat. He's the most interesting rapper since Carti and Uzi to me.
There's a reason Kodak, Carti & Uzi have managed to curate such diehard fanbases, and it's because they were some of the last new-school rappers to offer a genuine personality
The current landscape is populated by so many of these dull, derivative artists who have 0 personality and 0 star-power
Cordae - Diet, unattractive nerdy J.Cole
Yeat - Great music but he's a mishmash of Carti/Thug/Uzi spawned directly from internet culture
Don Toliver - Bro literally has no personality, most boring guy ever, watch his interviews he is so stale
Harlow - Personable, but once again he's overblown by internet culture and the star-power just isn't there
Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely - Carti derivatives with 1/8th of his star-power
Lil Baby - Default NPC street-rapper but funny now and then
Keem - Very talented but a Kdot derivative
Fivio - God-tier verse on DONDA but doesn't have the star-power Pop did
24k Golden, Iaan Dior, Lil Tjay etc etc. yawn yawn
I'm not saying these guys don't make good music - they do.
But their personality, their star-power, their uniqueness is severely lacking
When Carti & Uzi & Kodak all broke on to the scene they had such distinctive sounds, aesthetics and stories and for that reason they remain at the forefront of culture
I would also add Dababy to the list as well of the few new-gen rappers to HAVE a personality, I don't like his music but when he emerged he was definitely tapping into something new and carving out an identity for himself
Pooh Shiesty
Keem is a kdot derivative?
dont even like Lil Baby like that but even I can see he be spittin real s***, but somehow thats "NPC street rapper"
