yeah generally I agree with this.

Especially in fields (for example I'm in language acquisition/pedagogy) where they do research meant for current teachers to use to change/improve their teaching methodology, they make the papers too complex to understand and act arrogant then wonder why current teachers don't read their research

Most professors are cool tbh

sometimes simpler prose is better at conveying ideas, even complex ones. The video @op posted does a good job explaining the difference between using precise language and using 'obfuscated' language to impress and intentionally bewilder (so as to sound profound/scientific) rather than create meaningful discussions. Language can be both lyrical and simple at the same time.
