the full Fabolous track is online tho I posted it last page , he released it because everybody was asking him , you can tell that the pre-hook and hook melody was written by Pharrell because they're the same / variations of the same in both tracks

I think black people, who have lived black life their entire lives can pick what they want

You're absolutely right, black people can choose whichever they want, I personally choose TPAB. I just think its clear that theres much more to pull from an album like TPAB than The Cool in terms of representation of black issues in america.

I still love The Cool, I bought that album the week it came out after I heard go go gadget flow. thats the project that got me into lupe

    I love them both.

I just feel like black people have to stop telling each other how to feel about s*** or else they arent black.

Lupe himself said Kendrick makes better music.

You can inspire someone and not be their sole inspiration.

Other than lyrics Lupe does nothing better than Kendrick. Especially musically

Kendrick is more relatable, Has more hits, better performer, sells more, more acclaimed. You named it

    Lupe
    Is better lyrically.

Kendrick is better at almost everything else.

Lyrics have the greatest weight for imo. And imo no nobody in the history of hip-hop is better.

I will say this, while I greatly appreciate Kendrick's subject matter and artistry, I'm just not a huge fan of Kendrick's music mainly because I'm not a fan of his voice and also because he lacks songs where he just goes in with the bars ala Drake's AM/PM/City series for example. GKMC was the only project I truly enjoyed of his so I don't hold Kendrick as high as the vast majority do.

With that said, I do agree that Kendrick makes what many would consider better music than Lupe. He has more awards, sales, hits and whatnot, but I mainly attribute that to Lupe coming up at a time where the s*** he was doing want as appreciated. Also stuff like Twitter where even casuals could get wind of new music and streaming which are now factored into sales and accounted for in the charts, weren't a thing/popular when Lupe was coming up. Sure Kdot came up before streaming took off, but he never had his momentum killed like Lupe did with b**** as atlantic and when he got black balled for calling Obama a terrorist.

    What?

How did TPAB ruin Kendrick's momentum? Because it didn't sell as well? He was still popular.

Lupe's popularity was on decline because b**** ass atlantic shelved his album for the longest and when they finally released it, they forced him to compromise into making a pop album which absolutely destroyed his popularity. So many people stopped looking for Lupe's music after that album.
