Is this actually bad, or bad in the way that Old was “bad”, where it’s stupid as f*** but still a pretty fun watch?
Bad but fun lol. Basically what you expect from a M Night film

I was disappointed in OLD tbh I guess the story didn't go in the direction I personally wanted but whatever.
But on another note I think ever since six sense and unbreakable people been expecting him to drop that level of quality and keep getting disappointing results (sometimes, or somewhat)
Idk but I still want to watch this just to watch.
Not gone lie man I wanna see Shama do one more movie on the level of six sense/unbreakable and I'll be straight but I might be part of the problem. That ship might have sailed and the man just wants to try out his ideas. As a writer myself though I respect the fact that he writes his own material and brings it to life. People can say what they want but he finds ways to get his ideas from paper to big screen.

Lmao the trailer already answered that.
But no, there was a scene where we clearly see what Josh character did and then the cop will show up explain what we just seen “Oh wow he propped up the helmet to make us believe he was still here, he must have blended wit the crowd after”
Also I hate how M Night makes everything so convenient just to push the plot forward. I already mentioned the scene in the trailer of the concert employee explaining the whole plot scheme to Josh. But also Heres a smart serial killer but let me stand next to the victim with my phone out so she has a chance to grab it and run…and don’t get me started on the god awful IG live scene. Why did he think that was a good idea??? ‘Ok let’s quickly wrap up this kidnapping by just having some random IG Live fan go save them off screen….we didn’t even get any info about the guy kidnapped lmao

and he makes hella bank doing it too

I thought more context in the film would save that moment, I guess not

Crine, say sike rn

Lmao no bro that’s basically his purpose in the film and for Josh to easily steal his access card to the employees office
and he makes hella bank doing it too
Yup, cuz he finds most of his own stuff apparently (may be more complex than that idk) so you get more of the proceeds if the movie doesn't bomb.

lmao no bro, the concert girl gets on IG live and is like “Hey there’s a guy kidnapped idk his address but there’s a lion statue in the front. And someone in the comments is like “omg I know where that is” and she tells them to go save him lmaooo. And then like 20 minutes later the kidnapped guy is magically rescued, they don’t show the rescue just him outside with the fan who apparently knew where to find him

Wtf
Now I'm interested lol. That sounds like a dumpster fire

I mean they have a little explanation where the concert employees are debriefed before the concert to let them know the plan. So that explains why the fat employee knew what was going on. But it’s still dumb. Cus why tf would feds debrief a bunch of random merch employees. They would just lock the building down and tell everyone “nobody moves nobody gets hurt”

Lmao this is the part of the trailer where I was like "wait, why do the feds need YOU to know this my guy "
Cuz in practice, it just comes off as sloppy on the feds part
Wtf

Also lmao Josh was moving through that concert like he was wearing an invisible cloth. “Oh lemme just walk back in the kitchen in front of everyone and start an explosion, no one sees what I’m doing”. “Oh lemme grab this random apron, oh the cops stopped me asking for my employee card, oh how convenient there’s a random employee card in the pockets of this random apron I grabbed, luckily I found the one who didn’t put his wallet/employee card in his pants pocket but instead an apron and then randomly tossed it to the side so I could grab it”
Pretty dope Saleeka did a whole album for the soundtrack for this. She definitely has potential imo to be a big star.

Bro exactly! Like were here to catch an Americas most wanted serial killer but let’s inform random strangers who could f\*\*\* up our plan. Oh and also the rule was, anyone who leaves the venue has to get searched so they can make sure the Killer doesn’t leave. Lmaooo Josh finessed his way into catching a ride with the Pop singer, and she escorts them out like “this guy is already clear no need to search him” and that’s how he’s able to leave the concert and escape lmaooo. Like yeah a f\*\*\*in Pop Star is gonna be able to stop the feds from doing their job efficiently because they are trying to catch a crazy serial killer
That’s essentially always the issue with M Night. He’ll have great ideas but make really bad writing decisions strictly to only serve the plot. It’s like his mind will be set on “THIS needs to happen right here” and he’ll make that plot point happen the most convenient way possible
this looks good
is it worth watching or nah

It’s fun, bad but fun. Definitely a cool little movie to see wit a date

These conveniences would buckle under the pressure of slight logic.
if it's a matter of national security, why tf would a pop star's word clear Josh Hartnett from being searched lol. If anything, the security would wanna double check anyway.
@twitch idk bruh I had so much fun with this ngl that middle section had me leaning toward mid
his daughters acting… sheesh. Didn’t mind her during the concert tho.
Final act saved it for me, all on Josh Hartnett and Alison Pill. I think structurally it’s really messy especially in dialogue but that’s part of the charm I feel. Vibed way more with this then Knock on the Cabin or Old.
