its genuinely mind boggling how terrible jon hamm's and bryan cranston's careers have been after giving two of the greatest performances ever

Cause they played characters any dude with stage presence could’ve played
Dog wtf. Is this in the pop tart movie or just a crossover for a fun trailer

i mean they weren't ground breaking characters but they were great performances.
hamm's performance blows cranston's out of the water tbh

Yeah just saw a tweet saying the same thing as Cranston did some shining mtn dew ad
Literally two of the best on screen performances ever but I guess their tv work is the peak of what they’ll do. Jon and Bryan have been in some absolute shlock since their respective classics

Can’t speak for Cranston but Hamm seems perfectly content with just being a supporting character in comedies now. And it’s not as if it’s been a total dud (Bad Times at the El Royale, Baby Driver, Richard Jewell, Top Gun Maverick, Fargo) he’s been in a lot of decent to great stuff.
Unfortunately, I feel like he missed his true leading man calling by about 20-25 years. Even by the time Mad Men started, Hollywood had moved away from his type.

Didn't watch it but I thought Jon had some career renaissance with Fargo

Feels like it’s a curse of playing an iconic character for so long casting directors only see you as that character. James Gandolfini, Kit Harrington, Emilia Clarke
just finished this and yeah this is elite television
legit one of the best seasons ive seen for a show, so overwhelmed rn i cant even describe how great that was
