Hojlund is going to be a very exciting watch based on the small involvement yesterday

All the people clamoring for De Zerbi, I wonder how long it’s going to take them to realize that it’s Brighton’s brilliance from top to bottom that makes everything work, not just individuals or specific departments.

You bring him here and those 4-1, 5-0 losses he occasionally gets will be happening every other game.

And that is definitely eyebrow raising and not the best look for Ten Hag.

But the biggest problem for Spurs over the past few years has been coaching. You had Mourinho who couldn’t cut it in the PL anymore, and a very temperamental Conte who, by all accounts, just gave up last season.

Since they ascended into the Big 6 they always had great to world class talent at multiple positions, and with the exception of a very rare few, they’ve made good, smart, sensible signings.

Lack of success aside they’ve been a well run club, tales of their dysfunction have been exaggerated.

We’ve been a dumpster fire for a decade.

I don't know if I'd say they've made smart, sensible signings. There's been a ton of duds.

And 'lack of success aside' - success is what matters ultimately.

Our biggest problem has also been coaching.

You're obviously right and I wanted to add context to that, but decided not to.

I think Levy is too unambitious for a top serious club, which is certainly not good, and that's what has created a lot of turmoil amongst the fanbase. But from the inside, the club runs rather smoothly.

  • The defence are a disgrace. With injuries we will continue to leak goals that’ll make it hard to win football matches.

Seemingly but you can lodge the same complaint against them that you could us - Levy/Glazers care more about revenue. Only difference is we've actually won some trophies along the way.

Both are facing 'from the inside' issues I'd say.

I think garnacho got his head on straight for sure. with his childhood girl and has avoided headlines.

amad dunno is he still at the club?

  • Sep 4, 2023

the first report that came out about Antony was enough to make me not want to see him play for us anymore, I thought I must've missed something with how quiet everyone was about him since then in that regard

A lot of leaks around this Sancho story unsurprisingly, it's giving Lingard

Biggest mistake ETH made in this whole Sancho affair is that he didn’t sell him last summer. Absolute joke of a player.

Nobody is touching sancho on those wages man. There is a reason you guys couldn’t move maguire to westham

  • Sep 4, 2023

He earns 350k/week and not in form. It will be difficult to move him except he is willing to take a massive paycut

At this point we’re better off getting in their whole executive branch rather than their manager, wonder how much that would cost

Yeah you’re right, I was hoping for Spurs last summer tho. They had the money to spend too after Kane transfer, but they got Johnson instead.

Just saw the different angle for the Garnacho goal. Ngl the angle they chose to draw the lines is very questionable 🤨

absolutely. soon as they drew it I didn't understand why it was that angle. I thought VAR was different this year that we weren't doing these 1 inch offside debates anymore.

After that report the other day about VAR just being a referee mates club it can rot in hell
