Unfortunately I don’t see a scenario where Pogba re-signs for us. He will leave next summer and we are looking for a CB. If Madrid show legit interest this summer Raiola will do everything he can to make that move happen as Pogba been gunning for that transfers for ages now.

Obviously loosing Pogba will be awful, but I think he’s leaving regardless. So hypothetically doing a swap deal would benefit both clubs. United won’t pay what Madrid are asking for Varane and neither will Madrid pay what United will want for Pogba in there transfer valuation. So a swap seems like the a possible outcome

The time he thrived most was when he played the advanced role alongside Herrera, with Matic behind.

Dont trust a 3 man midfield of Bruno - Pogba - DM. No matter how quality that DM is.

He was quality with France the other day but even then its the advanced role with Rabiot and Kante behind.

Sell him, move on. Build a better balanced team where Rashford isn't forced to the right wing to accomodate him.

AWB needs to be playing in the championship, that's what he needs. It's bad enough he starts for united, but getting props for being Mr slip and slide is sad

That's why I personally have my reservations of Bruno, he forces a lot of players to be nothing more than fire fighters in midfield, team has to go directly through him for him to be effective. Would be a gem of a player 20 years ago

They just currently have been because we've largely lacked quality around him. And tactically been shoddy and unbalanced.

Bruno makes all the players around him better, there's no doubt about that. He's been exceptional.

The only problem he caused was displacing Pogba.

When you think back on why Bruno was brought in it was because Pogba got a bad injury and we needed a creative, advanced midfielder to come in. Pogba was quality previously, best run of form when Ole came in. That is his best position where Bruno plays.

But Bruno is more effective there, he's more of a leader, he's less hassle. And Rashford is more effective on the left wing than Pogba, he's a better leader, he's less hassle.

So Pogba just has to go imo. Simple as. Too good and too costly to be a rotation.

The next problem was Matic declined rapidly and we didn't replace him. Thirdly we should have kept Herrera on, didn't, and didn't replace him properly. This is where the problems stemmed from.

We were best playing that 4-3-3. Then we shifted to a 4-2-3-1 because of the aforementioned. Got to get back to that balanced 4-3-3 setup.

If Pogba doesn't want to sign an extension then swap him for Varane and sign a DM
