Might read this on the side

Actually nvm. I might read Hinamatsuri but start from the beginning (I watched the anime). If anyone has any comedy manga but more geared towards mature/seinen shoot me some recs

zetman started off pretty good but as it went on it really went off the rails in the worst way possible lmfao shame cause it had an interesting premise and was hoping for it to be an underrated gem

I hear you. I dropped it for a reason but I thought I was being too sensitive so I mentioned it along with the rest.

Jackals is my fav of these. The fights in particular, cause the focus of it is people with crazy weapons and techniques but at the most realistic way you can think of. Story is meh but it's a fun turn off your brain read

Jagaaaan is ongoing with a great concept but ''questionable'' execution

Sweet Home is probably the best psychological (and post-apocalyptic) webtoon I've read 2nd only to the same author's previous work, B******

Shounen no abyss is like a david lynch movie. Just how the famous filmmaker can make scary s*** with zero scary content, in the same way shounen no abyss can f*** you up without any graphic content most series like it thrive off,,,,,

myanimelist.net/manga/116702/Blue_Hearts (from the creator of relife)

myanimelist.net/manga/112922/Gokushufudou (similar to hinamatsuri but its more dependable on yakuza comedy rather than funny interactions and character arcs)

you should also check out tonikawa...the anime perfectly adapts the first 3 volumes so you can jump straight into it

I dunno thats all that comes to mind atm

edit: myanimelist.net/manga/28/Nana?q=nana (this had comedic parts too but its more reliant on themes of music and romance)

ReLife was in color too. You could say the guy that wrote em was the first one on the anime-webcomic train

nana hasnt seen any updates for over a decade but berserk ended and vagabond is getting a new chapter so anything can happen

I had no idea tonikawa is ongoing. I got into it a few months ago and I read a couple chapters a week whenever I need something to make feel better

my reccs are cool and all but I need to read the invisible bones manga you posted a while ago cause I got abyss vibes reading that anilist description

Love finding hidden gems like that one.
Whenever I finish a manga I just have a hard time finding my next read. I typically like rotating thru diff genres but my mood keeps changing

You do a good job searching tho. I gotta give you that.

I use mal as my source but from what I've seen anilist has more elaborate tags so it might be that in effect. I never thought I'd be a manga boomer but here I am

jokes aside I feel you on the mood switch, that's why I read a bunch of different manga. I cant commit myself to one type of story/setting. S***, I cant even stick to one type of artwork....but being ''on the hunt'' for the next story to captivate you and immerse yourself in is also part of the joy.

might be weird, but there's different connections in our heads when we pick up (for example) a book from our library to getting it from a friend....like, the connections are different

the art is really good, no dull moments but it can be a bit over the top and hard to follow

when I started it I read 70 chaps in 3 days

It's like gantz, if you've read that

Honestly better than gantz, though may be too soon to say since gantz started f***in up when they added extra s*** they didn’t resolve 🧛🏾 and that ending. Jagaaan could still drop the ball but overall better so far

I’m reading it. Set in the same universe as sweet home I’m pretty sure. Think how resident evil 2 and 3 happen at the same time, it’s kinda like that. Not bad but the author is a sucker for making essentially the same protagonist
