Incredible read so far I barely remembered anything from my last one

Is it better than the movie?

The film was made when only the chapters from the 2 first volumes were published so the world and story is more fleshed out in the manga

Wouldn't say it's better because obviously the movie is different but it's a great take on the same themes and characters, if you like the movie you'll like the manga for sure

Its my personnal favorite of his movies so of course I'm go'na be biased but I think it's a very worthwhile read also since he made it over the course of a decade u cxzn see his worldview evolving a lot throughout the course of the story, super interesting

real for that being your fav Miyazaki, feel like it and Ponyo are heavily underrated in his filmog

Yeah it being his first original film makes it a bit underrated I think it's a shame because it's got everything his later films are loved for

Lots of pararrels between princess mononoke and nausicaa too, PM is basically a more refined take on the same themes, which is made even more apparent by the manga considering he continued to publish it until 3 years before it's release

Just fascinating stuff all around

Bokurano does not get enough love. Incredible manga through and through. From concept to execution. The ending had me feeling all types of ways.

Just finished Demon Slayer.

Honestly kinda disappointing. After the train arc with Rengoku, the rest of it feels like it doesn't really live up to its potential.
