gettin back into my groove of Muay Thai / Kickboxing / Boxing again. Might add on wrestling too
Wanna try muay thai, just learned about a club really close to me.
I find gyms boring and i think trying my hand at this is more engaging and fun, plus id like to know how to fight
Kinda scared tho, dont wanna get kicked in the head and get an aneurysm.

The general rule is go as hard as you wanna get hit in sparring. Most people will understand that you're new so just take it easy. Find a good partner or friend in the gym that you can trust and you'll be sweet.
People don't want permanent damage either and they're in for the long game, so you're not gonna get a war every time you go in the gym or nobody would ever learn
@OP I’m interested
I can’t find a decent gym or community that’s close to me. A Krav Maga spot opened not too far from me though.
I’ve always wanted to be a martial artist 🥋

Give it a try, something better than nothing. Sucks that there arent any decent gyms around though. Sometimes they're hard to find because they have trash marketing though lol
Are you looking to try martial arts as a competition thing, self defence or just overall fitness?
First Muay Thai class today, bruh my shoulders are burnt out

Ryukyu Kempo here just made hachi kyu dai (yellow belt with black stripe) 💪🏼🥋

It is Kempo Karate from the Ryukyu kingdom of Okinawa. Best way I can describe it is Shotokan and Aikido mixed. It’s very similar to Shotokan in our punches kicks, katas and stances, but we do a lot of joint locks, throws and light ground work. This is probably because my sensei has black belts in Shotokan and Aikido as well.
There is also pressure point work too but they reserve it for Brown belts and above.
make it happen
gym moved to a bigger location a town away and i've been lazy
i'm getting back on the grind
dont tell me my friend got me sick in class
on my first day back too
