I think having a trans woman playing Mystique would be great especially with the recent comic development of Mystique being gender fluid themself.

I think she has the acting chops and the look to pull it off too.

It would also be nice to have a queer person playing a major queer character in a franchise as big as the X-Men, which from what I can recall hasn't really happened yet.

Most queer characters played by queer actors in the MCU have been minor roles (Negasonic for example). The only project that has had major queer representation in the MCU so far has been Agatha, but again that is only really gay and lesbian rep. I don't think there has been much if any trans representation in the MCU.

I don't want mystique to have as big a role as Jennifer Lawrence again. Keep her as AT MOST right hand to big bad
