Oh wow, I completely disagree 😂
to each their own 💔
i liked superman btw, probably 7.5 or 8 out of 10 for me. i give this a 8.5
Superman I felt nothing the whole movie
This was exciting to watch
not a dull moment in this movie & has higher highs than superman
Preparing myself for a B+.cinemascore since the audience is at 91%, Superman and Thunderbolts started 95+ and only got A-'s
Lower letterboxd rating too
Lower letterboxd rating too
Idk if letterboxd is that big an indicator, leans more towards "film twitter" type people. Final Reckoning is lower at 3.5 but still got an A-

yeah a lot of letterboxd users are straight dorks especially when it comes to these movies

I agree with this
MCU needs more star-power and this is a great first step
Why do they need more stars? That's not gonna do much for them at this stage of the MCU
I'd argue they're better off trying to make new stars like they did with Holland
i got a sick keychain from the premiere that was very cool.
the movie was f***ing terrible though
That being said, I enjoyed the film a lot but still find one of the downsides being Reed Richard's casting. That's just not...him.
Everyone else is so perfect. I feel like they're all pulled directly from Jack Kirby and Stan Lee's 60's books. They NAILED Johnny. And Galactus is perfect
Enjoyed how quick to the point the story was. Similar to Thunderbolts

One of the big complaints of post-Endgame MCU was the lack of familiar faces.
No RDJ, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, or Mark Ruffalo
Marvel knew they needed to bring in some big names again to bring people back to theaters
silver surfer is definitely up there as marvel’s best cgi character
right behind thanos and rocket imo

Fair. I just don't think those names were the actual draws tho. They became them over time cus we loved the characters and story builds. Also not convinced Pascal is actually a box office draw either.
I agree tho but i think the main issue is we don't actually see characters often anymore, so there's been no avenue to build familiar faces. We go several years without follow up or in some cases never see the character again. That automatically dooms new castings and leaves them reliant on cameos
Fantastic Four won't have that problem cus we see them in the next Avengers, and that'd be the case with or without Pascal there

she was awesome
Vanessa Kirby made me like white girls again
she was awesome
they definitely saved their best work for her all her action was so well done and i loved her movements and expressions
I loved this movies strong focus on family and fears and Superman’s strong focus on humanity and seeing the good
what a time
Damn this was really good 90% of the time especially visually. My main problems were with the third act but aside from that this was a great fantastic four movie. Cast was perfect . Vanessa gave a stellar performance and really tied it all together .
8.5/10

im sure pedro right now is a bigger draw than when RDJ first did Iron Man 1
feel like this Reed has a lot of growing to do and I can see his growth into a really good leader, im personally excited for his future in the mcu
