BlueDreamYou are 100% correct. Pre-Endgame this film would’ve had wayyy more positive discourse, and the general consensus would be that’s it’s a good-great addition to the MCU
People are a lot more nit picky and cynical now, especially for comic book films
I just know this better than Antman and Wasp

Oblivion XIt doesnt have to be honorable. It's just the more interesting outcome. The F4 lost their world due to selfish reasons and are the only survivors. It adds weight and guilt to the group and it can directly lead into secret wars where their primary motivation for participating is that they can restore their home back.
Even something like, the group won and stopped Galactus from destroying their world but at the cost of them being sent away to another world making them look like martyrs instead of losers also could of worked.
I just dont think it should of been a total victory like it was in the film
This is exactly how I wished it ended, I get why they did it the way they did since it’s their first MCU entry but yeah these would’ve been way more interesting outcomes

they said they spent a lot of money on promo but i didnt feel like it was impactful. finally a different approach
