Movie was way better than it expected.

1/3rd just them doing stuff in retro-futuristic New York.

2/3rd the plot starts to kick in. The visuals start glistening.

3/3rd Rushed ending with convenient resolution.

30 mins in and this is bland as oatmeal

Vanessa in that super suit saved this

Franklin is the only real pulse of anything when you watch this but it does work in a way, dry ass family dynamic otherwise

Rewatched it the other day and I still love it.

I’m not sure it’s a great starting point for casuals but if you’re familiar with the comics this is such a good adaptation. Not perfect but a solid first entry

Feels weird to say this about an MCU movie but I need the sequel to up the humor

This was honestly the best one they've dropped in a long time, and one of the best they've done period imo

Perfect tone, great actors, looked great, all of it felt like something that would really happen in a comic without being subversive and "clever".
