oh yeah we all got that person we ghosted in some form because it was better than continuing
True but I wish it was as small as this. It’s much much worse and closer to Peter and MJ than you could imagine

I can tell you weren’t in the World Cup thread
This was cool, but man I wish it wasn’t an mcu movie so we didn’t have to spend so much time on other mcu characters and setting up X-men. You know focus on spiderman in the spiderman movie
Also punisher and spiderman have completely different ideologies when it comes to dealing with crime yet they have a bromance, no type of conflict between eachother than one 30 second fight with the van.
jean grey is portrayed as a psychopath, like why is she written like this ? Are they trying to make mutants look like the bad guys? The mcu cannot do mutant politics
And finally why is Peter so trustworthy of authorities, like damage control is so clearly nefarious yet he trust them completely. Is he dumb? Also the brushing under the rug of Peter plantirs surveillance system? Like at least Batman knew that s*** was f***ed up

Yes, mutants can be seen as the bad guys because mostly they are reckless until some way of guidance
Jean is powerful. She can't control 100% of her powers. She is an emotional wreck and need help. The MCU version shows how unstoppable and dangerous she can be by her own before getting help from Prof X

Having them being seen as the bad guys in our intro to them is actually an interesting approach imo
Poor writing and storyline all over the place. They tried too hard to connect this to the mcu

A bit but still better than other 3 by far

I think freezing a whole portion of New York was unnecessary. The idea of a mind hopping mutant being spread was enough . Even some speculating online and a cover up . It going public with her freezing people in time was overkill
ngl
far from home < homecoming <= brand new day < no way home

I disagree because that shows how powerful she really is and that’s just based of uncontrollable emotion
It is like her first step to recognizing how OP she can become

in the big 26 the surveillance system stuff isn’t a big deal. it’s pretty normalized w all the ring cams, flock cams, ect
back in 2008 obviously everyone thought it was f***ed up tho
