Beat the story yesterday

My opinions on the game…

In my top 3 superhero games ever, really phenomenal from start to finish. I definitely prefer it over the first game even if the story is less focused.

I think the side missions in this game are much better as well , there were so many heartfelt moments

I also still feel like people are overreacting about the MJ and deaf girl missions, I like that MJ’s missions had a TLOU feel to it. And the deaf girl mission had a lot of heart.
You can tell Insomniac really likes to show different perspectives and experiences, and I really respect that. They aren’t afraid to slow things down sometimes and show you the world from someone else’s perspective

Insane work

Can definitely tell that Sony mandated Insomniac to drop this by this Holiday season given how many little things are missing (some of which I imagine will be patched in).

The lighting in this is Into the Spiderverse it hurts.

Okay, so I don’t have a problem with the game’s runtime, but as I play it and as I realize my progress through the main story, I think I do have a problem with the pacing.

I just got to the part where Peter gets the black suit , and my PS5 says I’m 52% through the main story missions. Honestly I still felt like the game was in the very early stages, maybe the final part of the first Act at the latest, but knowing that I’m halfway through the story is a little disappointing

Like what?

Lack of character profiles like the two previous games, no new game plus, inability to change time of day post game, apparently regular random crimes no longer pop post game, simplified random crimes in general, lacking the ability to re-listen to podcasts segments in case they’re interrupted in game, lack of in game social media app etc.

Small stuff, but stuff featured in the previous two games that likely wouldn’t be given priority if they were forced to meet a relatively tight deadline.

Tbf, Spiderman 1 was missing NG+ at launch too. It's a common thing with games, GOW 2018 and Ragnarok didn't have it on release date either

Lowkey this game has the weakest Miles story in the series so far?

Even in the first game where he didn’t do much I preferred him there

It’d be a lot of work to implement probably but I want a seasonal changer as well as time of day

playing Miles in snowy christmas New York was just a different vibe

We barely got any JJJ in the game to begin with had to make whatever we got from him count and park my ass to hear him

Spider Verse one|| had me confused bc ||I didn’t recognize Delilah but remembered there was supposed to be a post credit scene with the super villain bar. She mentioned Miguel and I was goin crazy lmao

Needs to be a Carnage|| one and if they do another like they did with the first game, maybe ||Chameleon|| or ||Black Cat in Paris

Her missions are miles better than the ones in the 1st game

The ending & a certain ending of a side mission makes it clear there’s gonna be a 3rd one.

the one with the tanker on fire feels like it's so common

if i see one pop up i don't think i've ever ignored it. level 60 and just got to the tombstone break out factor mission

Yeah they get repetitive quick but you get a lot of XP and tech parts
