ME2 overrated due to the suicide mission. The game is essentially filler to the overall plot.

Worst game in the series tbh.

ME2's intro is one of the WORST intros of all time.

Bioware/EA not bringing back ME3 multiplayer was such a dumb move, they basically slept on a goldmine

Are you dumb or stupid? Take a second and think about the overarching story of the series and ask how did ME2s story advance the plot?

Gameplay wise 2 & 3 feel a lot different mechanically. 3 especially feels closer to a modern 3rd person shooter.

But if you don’t like the characters or story, I wouldn’t bother continuing tbh.

Idk if you’re doing side missions n stuff but the first is the clunkiest especially with the planet exploration mechanics. I enjoyed them but they do get a bit repetitive

It served to make the characters far more interesting, without the loyalty missions many characters wouldn't be as beloved. Based off your logic why should people play any side content if it doesn't add to the main plot in any game?

Some of the best parts in many RPG's are their side content, some of that content has nothing to do with the story itself. While they may not directly impact the main story they could potentially add weight.

Spending more time in the Mass Effect universe adds to the depth of the world, getting to know some characters deeper could make people care more about planets outside of earth. Leading to a harder hitting third entry, just because it didn't move the plot forward doesn't mean it didn't benefit it at all.

On the other side, Game of Thrones is a perfect example of getting to the point and moving the plot way too fast, spending more time before then would have benefited it greatly. Even if scenes were added that were only to world build or add depth to characters.

This exactly. Me3 makes everything you do in me2 useless when side chars like miranda, thane, jack are basically not in it.

ME2 overrated due to the suicide mission. The game is essentially filler to the overall plot.

We need to stop treating filler as though it’s inherently worse than the main plot, especially when the filler is better than the main plot
