This is already iconic in film circles but it should have been iconic for mainstream western audiences by now too. Posted about this film earlier today too by chance. It's a 45 minute long action sequence with no cuts to different things. F***ing classic and only Miike could have pulled it off this well
Love seeing KTT giving Miike his flowers man.
13 assassins is legendary

Tbh it’s mostly just me drop by in my Takashi Miike thread some time!
Bruh why yall itt posting Interstellar, Joker & a Tarantino movie like the whole world hasn't seen all of those? To many people those moments y'all posted are already iconic solely based off popularity
cause thats the point of the thread

No it's not If people post the most popular films of the past decade then the title of the thread doesn't even make sense, they are already iconic by default
bruhhhh see this what i mean in what world is this not iconic yet????
I can't express how much of a mistake getting high af before watching this movie was

Thinking about writing a thread about 10 of my favorite Miike films soon, because his filmography is so large that i feel like it put many people off to diving in to his work. Hopefully it will make more people on here want to check some of his stuff out

Awesome sounds dope! Miike's filmography is vast. Ya just put me onto Fudoh, watching part of it now b4 work.
Looking forward to seeing your top 10 & more of Miike's films!

Which ones have you seen already? I've seen about 15 so far which is still nothing compared to his full 100+ film library Brazy
Oh yeah Fudoh is f***ing bonkers man, but tbh it's worth just peeping in one sitting. It's fairly short in runtime and the full thing is on Youtube. It's actually considered to be his first great film. Super entertaining and so much fun

Nice, Ichi is another one of my favorites. Lots of iconic scenes. I particulary love the scene where Kakihara (the guy with the glasgow grin and piercings) gets ''kicked out'' of the gang and he reaches for something in his pocket. The gang members all thinking it's a gun and all stepping back at the same time shook AF
You didn't like Gozu enough to finish it?
