tbh i just turn on some pleasant ambient music, lie down, close my eyes and just watch my thoughts, then try to clear out thoughts or try to identify emotions and sensations, focus on how emotions evolve, how they evolve with your thoughts, the correlation between emotions and thoughts starts to become more prevalent, youll become more relaxed
the goal is to be aware of your thoughts and emotions, what triggers them, ways to control them. and try not to fall asleep lmao
