I replayed the original RE4 after the remake and I cannot go back to the original game anymore. Certain sections and areas feel like a slog to get through and don't get me started on the damn tank controls

Limitations are sometimes necessary.. Re4 tank control make the game what it is.

Anyways for the ones excited, this s*** look amazing. Volgin look so dope in this, and the facial expressions look so lifelike

Man the fact that they didn't even need to redo the cutscenes and literally made a 1:1 remake of them in the new engine shows just how far ahead of it's time the original was

I also read somewhere they were redoing the soundtrack with live orchestra like how they remade final fantasy x soundtrack for the hd remaster. Doesn't seem like it though. The original would probably be better anyway but I wouldn't mind listening to a reimagining

Damn you never played snake eater? Man you in for a treat. Don't spoil it imo. I was bout to post all types of videos but changed my mind regardless earlier. Some ppl may still have not played this. This looks like the definitive way to play though. Same game in all it's glory just fresh coat of paint and quality of life improvements. That, and to introduce this to a new audience, I can't see what people's issue with it is. And as far as the price, the campaign alone imo warrants it. Not the longest game ever but the quality is better than many campaigns you get nowadays in linear games

Man I'm watching the bosses from this on YouTube and I miss this s***. They just don't really make single player games structured like this no more for the most part. Everything is open world or soulslike. I miss these mgs games where you played through an actual mission over the course of a day or 2 in game time and felt like you were actually on this epic mission that needed to get done. Mgs 1, 2, and 3 had this. Mgs4 was more of a globetrotting affair that took longer, but still had that epic feel. Wish kojima would make stuff like this again but I get it the industry has changed. This is from the goat era though

Man kojima making that amazing looking flower field you fight a boss in was crazy for the hardware they had.
