Aug 23, 2025·edited·2 repliesDon't give a damn about this release and im not gonna write about what i think of it, but seeing reviews mention how the game feels old and outdated in 2025 because the game is divided in zones/levels and framing it as a bad thing is one of the key reasons why ive just lost faith in this medium to ever be taken seriously as an art form. When not even critics give a damn about these works and review them like you would an iphone or a fridge you know there's no saving grace.
I guess my point is please play old games y'all (including the og MGS3 if this remake is your first time playing it, its widely available on moder platforms), there are still beatiful gems that may run at 360p 30fps, have low polycounts and tons of loading screens, but the game and level design, art and sound direction are timeless, and often these limitations gave birth to the greatest ideas.
