Gonna be my first Metroid game as well. Ordered it yesterday so it should get here sometime this week hopefully. Looks like Dread is bringing a lot of newcomers to the franchise.

Fans have been begging for this game for years so it’s nice to see the love its getting. Getting me even more interested in playing it the more I read about it.

FINALLY got some time to play this and holy s*** this is a classic Metroid game through and through, I love it. The EMMIs are real b******s though

copped this today, so f***ing excited to start it

I played this s*** for 3 hours straight and I’m officially addicted. What a game wow. I’ve never been a super big fan of 2D platformers but so far this game makes me wanna give more games another chance.

Just unlocked the super sprint + shatter dive or whatever and this s*** is gas

This could very well surpass RE8 as GOTY by the time I’m done with it

man i thought the treehouse presenters were overreacting when they were getting so shook by the EMMIs, but once its you thats in control that s*** hits different

I know they won’t do this but f*** I wish they put the Dread suit in Smash

damn just died and lost an hour of progress. I had gone around and collected every item and secret on the map then died before saving lol

Forgot that the emmi doors don’t act as a soft checkpoint once you defeat the emmi in that area

Samus just arrived on my planet. My first Metroid experience awaits. Let’s go.

On the way to the final boss. Excited for this ending. Everything about the game has been satisfying. Defeating the pain in the ass bosses/mini-bosses. Acquiring the new abilities and being able to explore more. Traversing the world in general is just nice.

Metroid games just have a way of making you feel rewarded the more you play through them and until they ultimately culminate in an outstanding ending. With everything that has gone on in this, I just know this ending is gonna be incredible.

the emmi that freezes you from a distance just don’t sit right with me

10 hours in and I still have only 30% collected in most areas
