was running at this walking park at like 10:15pm the other night. big asphalt loop, like a mile long. right off the blvd, a driver could swerve off the road and he’d go right into it. no fence or gate or anything.

so a cop pulls up by my car and turns his lights on, so i run over to see what’s up. i’m the only car parked there so he knew chances are it’s mine. he’s like “this park closes from 10p-6a, you need to leave now” which is total bullshit. i usually run here before work at like 3-4am and there’s usually a group of 4 women and a guy walking together, all probably mid-50’s and black. i know damn well they haven’t been harassed.

so i figure maybe it’s just because i parked here, so i say “my apartment’s a mile away, it alright if i park back there then run over here to finish my miles?” and he says “if i see you here again i’m arresting you”

as i’m getting in my car he says “you know it’s actually a $500 fine to be here during closed hours, you’re lucky i’m forgiving” like no b**** you’re a small man that became a cop to bully people

and the entire time, there’s a homeless guy sleeping on the park bench right next to us, he doesn’t say s*** to him i hate cops man

This has been happening to me my whole life, one thing I've realized a few years ago was that whether you're walking or on a bike, having a phone out with some headphones shows some sort of passiveness or I don't know what you would call it. Being preoccupied.

Everytime I pass by some snobby kak in my neighborhood I pull my phone out and pretend I'm looking at it
